A very quick brainstorm of promotion ideas ...

• the launch at ALPS Dec. '06
• a monthly email update to the ALPS listserv: latest news, hot downloads, "24 new items this month!", that sort of thing
• choose local champions at each institution, ask them to solicit uploads from their colleagues
• timely reminders, e.g. messages in February after the big instructional wave is mostly ended, or in April during the between semester lull
• wider promotion activities? outside BC? cooperation with similar endeavours such as ANTS?
